Refund Policy

Last Updated: 3rd March 2026

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances in which refunds may be available for career development, recruitment support, CV development, interview preparation, industry workflow projects, job application support and related services provided by Regu Recruitment Ltd (“Regu”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Registered Company Name: Regu Recruitment Ltd
Company Registration Number: 16970775
Registered Office: Office 17a, 9 Disraeli Road, Putney, London, SW15 2DR, United Kingdom

By purchasing or registering for a Regu career service, you acknowledge that our services involve professional time, recruitment resources and third-party or specialist input that may begin shortly after registration.

This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and any service-specific agreement provided to you.

1. Nature of Our Services

Regu provides career and recruitment support services designed to help candidates improve their prospects in the UK employment market.

Depending on the service purchased, this may include:

  • Career consultation and assessment;
  • CV writing and CV optimisation;
  • ATS optimisation;
  • LinkedIn profile optimisation;
  • Industry workflow projects;
  • Professional career guidance;
  • Interview preparation and mock interviews;
  • Interview coaching;
  • Recruitment strategy;
  • Job-search strategy;
  • Job application support;
  • Submission of job applications on behalf of candidates;
  • Employer and vacancy research;
  • Assistance identifying relevant employment opportunities; and
  • Other career-related support agreed with the candidate.

Our website states that Regu actively applies for relevant jobs on a candidate’s behalf for a period of three months, subject to the terms of the service purchased.

Regu does not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, salary levels, visa sponsorship or any particular recruitment outcome. Recruitment outcomes depend on factors including the candidate’s profile, experience, skills, vacancies, employer requirements, market conditions and interview performance.

2. Initial 50% Payment

Where a service is structured with an initial payment representing 50% of the total service fee, this payment is intended to cover the initial work and resources allocated to the candidate.

Once registration and onboarding take place, Regu may allocate professional resources and begin work, which can include:

  • Reviewing the candidate’s existing CV and professional profile;
  • Conducting an initial candidate assessment;
  • Allocating an HR or recruitment professional;
  • Allocating CV-writing and optimisation resources;
  • Preparing or restructuring the candidate’s CV;
  • Researching suitable career opportunities;
  • Allocating industry or career specialists;
  • Preparing an individual career strategy;
  • Setting up the candidate within our internal workflow;
  • Preparing job-search and application strategies; and
  • Other preparatory work required to provide the purchased service.

Because these activities may involve professional time and costs being incurred shortly after registration, the initial 50% payment is normally treated as payment for the initial work and resources allocated to the candidate.

However, nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any statutory consumer rights that apply to you under UK law.

3. 48-Hour Cancellation Notification

If you decide that you no longer wish to proceed with the service, you should notify Regu as soon as possible and, where applicable, within 48 hours of registration/payment.

Your cancellation request should be sent through the official communication channel provided to you during registration or onboarding.

The 48-hour notification period allows Regu to review the request promptly and, where work has not yet commenced or costs have not yet been incurred, determine whether any refund is applicable.

A request received after 48 hours does not automatically mean that no refund is available. Any refund will be assessed in accordance with this Refund Policy, the applicable service agreement and your statutory rights.

4. Why the Initial Payment May Not Be Fully Refundable

Regu’s career services involve more than simply submitting job applications.

When a candidate registers, Regu may allocate resources including:

HR and Recruitment Resources

Professional HR and recruitment personnel may review your profile, assess your career objectives and determine suitable recruitment strategies.

CV Writing and Optimisation

Professional CV writers may begin reviewing, writing, editing or restructuring your CV so that it is suitable for UK recruitment processes and Applicant Tracking Systems.

Industry and Career Specialists

Depending on your career requirements, Regu may allocate experienced industry professionals, career specialists or other personnel to support your development.

Recruitment Research

Our team may spend time researching appropriate roles, employers, job requirements and recruitment opportunities relevant to your profile.

Internal Onboarding and Administration

Registration can require internal administrative work, account setup, candidate assessment and allocation of personnel.

These activities can create genuine costs for Regu even where a candidate subsequently decides not to continue.

For this reason, where applicable, Regu may retain an appropriate amount of the payment corresponding to work already performed and reasonable costs already incurred, subject always to applicable consumer law.

5. Refund Requests Made Within 48 Hours

If you notify Regu within 48 hours of registration and request cancellation, we will review:

  1. The date and time of registration;
  2. The date and time of your cancellation request;
  3. Whether onboarding has commenced;
  4. Whether your CV or profile has already been reviewed;
  5. Whether CV writing or optimisation work has commenced;
  6. Whether recruitment or HR resources have been allocated;
  7. Whether industry specialists have been engaged;
  8. Whether job-search or application research has commenced;
  9. Whether applications have already been prepared or submitted; and
  10. Any other work or reasonable costs incurred specifically for your service.

Where little or no service work has commenced, Regu may provide an appropriate refund in accordance with the applicable contract and law.

Where substantial work has already commenced, Regu may deduct reasonable amounts corresponding to services already provided and costs properly incurred.

6. Refunds After 48 Hours

After the 48-hour notification period, cancellation requests will be assessed based on the stage of the service.

If Regu has already undertaken substantial work on your behalf, including CV development, profile assessment, career consultation, industry project preparation, recruitment research or job application support, the amount refundable may be reduced accordingly.

Regu will not charge a cancellation amount that is disproportionate to the work performed or legitimate costs incurred.

7. Three-Month Job Application Service

Where your purchased service includes Regu submitting job applications on your behalf for three months, the three-month period begins according to the commencement date specified in your service agreement or onboarding confirmation.

During this period, Regu may:

  • Identify suitable vacancies;
  • Assess vacancies against your profile;
  • Prepare applications;
  • Submit applications on your behalf where appropriate;
  • Adapt application materials to relevant vacancies;
  • Monitor relevant recruitment opportunities; and
  • Provide application-related support.

The three-month application service is a period of recruitment support and does not constitute a guarantee of employment or interviews.

If job applications have already been prepared or submitted on your behalf, those services may be taken into account when assessing any cancellation or refund request.

8. Services Already Completed

Where a service or individual component has been fully completed, payment for that completed service may not be refundable except where required by applicable law.

Examples may include:

  • A completed CV;
  • Completed CV optimisation;
  • A completed career consultation;
  • Completed interview coaching;
  • A completed industry workflow project;
  • Completed LinkedIn optimisation; or
  • Job applications that have already been prepared and submitted.

9. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects any legal rights you may have as a consumer.

Where UK consumer protection legislation provides you with a statutory cancellation or refund right, those rights will continue to apply.

In particular, certain distance or online service contracts may be subject to statutory cancellation rights. Where a customer requests that a service begins during an applicable cancellation period, additional requirements may apply, including express consent to begin the service and acknowledgement concerning cancellation rights.

Where a customer cancels a service after performance has begun, the amount payable may depend on the proportion of the service already supplied and the applicable legal requirements.

10. No Refund Based Solely on Recruitment Outcome

Regu provides recruitment and career-support services, not guaranteed employment.

A candidate will not normally be entitled to a refund solely because:

  • They did not receive an interview;
  • They did not receive a job offer;
  • An employer rejected their application;
  • An employer stopped recruiting;
  • A vacancy was withdrawn;
  • The candidate was unsuccessful at interview;
  • The candidate was unsuccessful at an assessment;
  • The employer selected another candidate;
  • The candidate did not receive visa sponsorship;
  • The candidate’s preferred employer did not respond; or
  • Market conditions changed.

Recruitment decisions ultimately remain with individual employers.

11. No Guarantee of Visa Sponsorship

Regu does not guarantee that a candidate will obtain a sponsored position.

Our support may focus on identifying suitable opportunities and improving the candidate’s competitiveness, but sponsorship decisions are made by employers and depend on the employer, vacancy, candidate and applicable immigration requirements.

Therefore, inability to obtain sponsorship alone does not automatically create a right to a refund.

12. Candidate Responsibilities

Candidates are expected to provide accurate and complete information during registration and throughout the service.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Accurate employment history;
  • Accurate educational information;
  • Correct contact details;
  • Accurate visa/status information;
  • Accurate qualifications;
  • Accurate professional experience;
  • Accurate CV information; and
  • Any other information reasonably required to provide the service.

Regu is not responsible for recruitment difficulties resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or outdated information supplied by a candidate.

13. Candidate Failure to Cooperate

Regu may be unable to provide the intended service if a candidate fails to:

  • Respond to reasonable requests;
  • Provide required information;
  • Attend scheduled consultations;
  • Review or approve materials;
  • Provide accurate employment information;
  • Provide necessary documents;
  • Participate in interview preparation;
  • Confirm application information; or
  • Otherwise cooperate with the agreed service.

Failure to cooperate does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund for work already performed or costs already incurred.

14. Duplicate or Accidental Payments

If you accidentally make a duplicate payment for the same service, please contact us promptly.

After verifying the transaction, Regu will review the duplicate payment and, where appropriate, refund the additional payment.

15. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, contact Regu using the official contact details provided during your registration or service agreement.

Your request should include:

  • Full name;
  • Email address used for registration;
  • Date of registration;
  • Date of payment;
  • Payment reference, if available;
  • Service purchased; and
  • Reason for the refund request.

We may request additional information reasonably required to verify the payment and assess the request.

16. Refund Assessment

Every refund request will be reviewed based on the individual circumstances.

Regu may consider:

  • The applicable service agreement;
  • The date of registration;
  • The date the cancellation request was received;
  • Services already provided;
  • Work already completed;
  • Professional time allocated;
  • Third-party or specialist costs incurred;
  • Applications already submitted;
  • Whether the service has commenced;
  • Whether any statutory cancellation right applies; and
  • Any other relevant circumstances.

This approach is intended to ensure that refund decisions are reasonable and proportionate.

17. Refund Processing

Where a refund has been approved, Regu will normally process the refund to the original payment method.

The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card provider or payment processor.

Regu cannot control delays caused by a customer’s bank or payment provider.

18. Non-Refundable Costs and Work Already Performed

Where permitted by applicable law, Regu may deduct reasonable amounts for services already performed and legitimate costs already incurred before the cancellation request.

Such costs may include:

  • HR professional time;
  • Recruitment consultant time;
  • CV writing;
  • CV editing;
  • ATS optimisation;
  • Career consultation;
  • Industry specialist involvement;
  • Industry workflow project preparation;
  • Recruitment research;
  • Job-search research;
  • Application preparation;
  • Applications already submitted; and
  • Administrative and onboarding work.

Any deduction will be assessed in accordance with the applicable agreement and consumer law.

19. Changes to This Refund Policy

Regu may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website.

The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version provided to you or incorporated into your service agreement at the time you entered into the contract, subject to any changes required by law.

21. Important Notice

Where there is a conflict between this policy and a mandatory legal right applicable to a customer, the applicable legal right will prevail.
